# Resolution Sources

Every market declares a **resolution source** at creation — the authority that determines the true outcome. Good sources are objective, public, and verifiable.

## What makes a good source

* **Objective** — the answer is a fact, not an opinion.
* **Public** — anyone can verify the result independently.
* **Timely** — the result is available shortly after the market's close.

## How sources are selected

* Price markets use **Chainlink price feeds** (already integrated on Robinhood Chain), cross-checked against an alternative source.
* Event markets use **official public results**.
* Categorical markets use **official announcements** with timestamps.

## Verification

The resolver does not guess — it verifies against the declared source, and cross-checks with a secondary source where available.
