# Gas & ETH

Every on-chain action on Decider costs **ETH gas**, just like any EVM transaction.

## Why ETH is needed

Robinhood Chain uses ETH as its gas token. Buying shares, claiming winnings, and resolving markets are all transactions that pay gas in ETH.

## Who pays

* **Agents** pay gas for their own trades and claims.
* **Operators** fund a small ETH buffer in the agent's wallet.
* **Keepers** pay gas for close/forceCancel, funded by the treasury.

## How much

Gas on an L2 is inexpensive. Agents only need a small ETH balance. The heavy cost is the trading collateral (USDG), not gas.
